We have an urgent opening with our client for an FPGA Verification position,

The position details are mentioned as below, kindly go through the same in detail,

Position : FPGA verification Engineer

Location : Bangalore

Experience : 3 to 5 years of FPGA verification

Brief write up of expectations:

1. To perform FPGA verification activities to a process compliant with DO-254.

2. Typical tasks will include Requirement analysis, VHDL simulation, physical verification and documentation

3. Understand the overall function of FPGA designs and their role in the aircraft’s electrical power system.

4. To perform VHDL simulation test design to applicable processes / standard to demonstrate FPGA design compliance to FPGA specification and reliable operation under all appropriate conditions (includes producing verification requirements, writing VHDL test bench and VHDL models, vectors and compliance matrix; VHDL source level simulation, VHDL code cover simulation, worst-case post-layout simulation, and static timing analysis).

5. To ensure the validity of verification evidence and fault-find simulation failures to precisely isolate cause and required rectifying action (i.e. correction of some specific aspect of specification, code-under-test, tests, test environment etc.).

6. To prepare and maintain the necessary documentation (including compliance and traceability data) to the required standard, and pass reviews needed for DO-254 certification and production release.

Candidates must have

1. A proactive style, team spirit, high energy level, and positive outlook.

2. Strong knowledge in VHDL and digital electronics

3. Strong demonstrable experience of FPGA design and verification including:

I. Understanding the principles of good FPGA specification and issues relating to

verification.

II. Understanding of Design for Testability aspects relating to ASIC / FPGA

technology.

III. Behavioral VHDL approach for developing testbenchs and models.

IV. Performing functional as well as post layout simulation with an understanding of the issues and problems may occur and a demonstrable ability to find faults when

simulations appear to fail.

V. Experience in complete FPGA Flow including VHDL design, simulation, synthesis, Place/Route, STA & Implementation.

4. Familiarity with FPGA technologies (Actel / Xilinx / Altera).

5. Experience with the following software tools:

VHDL simulator – (Modelsim, Active HDL)

Implementation tools: Synplify pro/ Actel / Xilinx / Altera

Debuggers: logic analyzer

6. Commitment to deliver with diligence appropriate to high product safety / integrity needs.

7. Good analytical & problem-solving skills.
